CREATING MY OWN ETF ETF..You can too

I woke up this morning @ 6:03 and decided to create my own ETF (EXCHANGE TRADED FUND) that will be made up of only ETFs.

you all know that I am in love with Catherine Woods and her ARK funds. They all hit record highs again today. I will be buying all 4. I also will be using COACHCB's fund suggestion XOUT. Not only do I find it intriguing, but I also already own it. the final piece will be 32% on emerging fund EFTs , because right now, they are out producing similar American EFTs

Sounds interesting. I sort of look at my brokerage accounts as an all-inclusive "mutual fund".

Are you concerned about when this big run up is going to come crashing down? I sure am, especially w/ the new administration. I work at the US Treasury Dept, I'm starting to see the coming transition and the changes (we're pushing to get things signed off on, policy wise). Anyhow, I've got some risk right now - but I think it's okay for another 3-5 months. Once we get to February I'm going to (probably) start pulling back.

I am sure there will be some pullbacks along the way, but I expect this to be the roaring 20's all over again.ARKG will continue to grow as new cures and through additional medical breakthroughs. I believe their will be a spurt when the new stimulus comes through but I also believe in store retail will have some disastrous results..

if you want to private message me, I would love to know what concerns you have with the new administration? Biden will increase corporate taxes which will reduce bottom line profits but with soooooooo much fake printed money thrown into the economy, the value will be so cheap and interest too low to be worth depositing anywhere it's either stocks, precious metals or crypto. I think for the newer investor crypto is the new gold. The hard asset they use incase of market turndowns..Bidens presidentcy will definitely have a negative effect on certain sectors but it will open up trading in others like green energy, solar, electric cars, quantrum glass batteries, rebuilding infrastructure like caterpillar (CAT) or TREX..cannabis like Grow green GRWG up over $14 since the election. Cryptos and their related stocks like MARA, RIOT and SI..Silvergate which specializes in crypto banking. Will think of some others..Usually these BIG BULL RUNS last about 15 yrs, It has only been 6 since 2014.. so I think we will see over 35000 when their is a valid vaccine as the housing is strong as well which is always a good indicator.

YOU'VE INSPIRED ME TO CREATE A FUTURISTIC EFT..I am proctoring a CFA test for 14 hrs tomorrow. Have to be there 6am..so new EFT by next Wednesday

Good stuff MF. I'm going to look at adding more of the ARK's. I added MARA last week. I've never done anything w/ Bitcoin or crypto currency, so I want to have some of that in my portfolio. I'm sitting on over $100K in a savings account right now, looking for a place to put some of it. We plan to move back to Florida next year, so I want to hold some of the money for real estate - but the remainder I want to get invested.

We plan to move to Tampa or St. Pete (wife's from Sarasota, I'm from Jacksonville - we figure Tampa's a good in between, plus Treasury has a position at CENTCOM over at McDill, which I'm hoping to slide into eventually).

I have 2000 sh..Monday I am going to SELL 9 January $8 Strike for 1 or more.So $900 for covered calls..
Worse scenario I have to sell 45% of my options for a $1.64 profit..I'M IN!!!

MCDILL is a good deal..St Pete area housing has really shot up..Downtown St Pete offers sooooo much more socially and they just redid the pier

MF - man, I hate buying a stock at it's 52 week high, and a lot of those ARK funds are at their 52 week high. Other than that, it looks good. I'm still worried about a pending market crash (stock market).

As far as home prices in St. Pete/Tampa, they are ridiculous (just like most of the country). We plan to sell our house in DC (Arlington) - I'm going to turn a very nice profit (I bought in 2011) and we're going to rent to wait out a coming market crash (housing market). It's coming, just a matter of time (my guess is June/July '21).

USUALLY There is a bounce back, but there are also often runs. why? Because there a valid reason why they hit those highs.IE new contracts, new products, higher than projected earnings. If you ignore hype and marketing BS, follow the fundamentals. More earnings= more value to the company. In the case of ARKG it is a etf in a sector that is having more medical breakthroughs every month and will continue to do so. And we are not even talking covid vaccine This means there is really no way for a significant loss in stock price unless Catherine woods leaves as manager. Do not let fear prevent you from being successful. today:

MF - I added $500+ of each today. So I have a small personal ETF (along w/ XOUT). Thanks for the feedback. One day I want to learn about shorts, options, etc. I'm too busy w/ my 'real' job to focus on that, but I'm approaching the point where I need to educate myself.
